Overview:

The Advanced Practices in Quality Management and Patient Safety is a training program to develop skills and competencies for the health care quality professional. The curriculum is built on evidence-based standards and leading practices in quality, safety, and improvement. The program is designed and delivered by Joint Commission International expert faculty who have decades of clinical, leadership, and management experience. This internationally recognized course has been delivered to over 3,500 participants from more than 40 countries.

The Advanced Practices Program applies adult learning principles to create an engaging, meaningful learning experience.  This includes utilizing self-paced digital learning modules, case-based scenarios, and team activities.  The course is delivered virtually through a robust learning management system and includes:

  • 10 weeks of learning with a blend of online classes sessions and self-paced learning
  • Five modules that ‘chunk’ the information into easily managed content
  • Individual assessments through feedback and knowledge checks
