By the end of this course, participants will be able to:

• Develop a comprehensive understanding of policies and procedures
• Identify components of a staffing plan, elements of a job description, orientation checklist, and performance evaluation, as well as describing the processes for credentialing staff and privileging medical staff
• Develop and implement effective infection control strategies with purpose, consistent terminology, key components, and the policies impact on quality and safety in healthcare
• Develop and implement effective clinical alarm programs, including patient risk identification for self-harm/suicide prevention and Early Warning Score Program components
