Event Description
This face-to-face program will be offered twice. Participants will have the option to attend in June at Joint Commission Headquarters in Oakbrook Terrace, IL (outside of Chicago) or in September on the campus of Charles University in the beautiful city of Prague. Road to JCI Accreditation and Beyond is for healthcare professionals seeking knowledge on the JCI standards and will include suggestions for implementing a framework for building an organization-wide culture of safety.
After completing this course, participants will gain knowledge in the JCI standards, suggested methods for implementing complex processes to improve patient safety, and details on how build your teams for success. This will be a dynamic program which will include group activities and interactive tracer sessions. This course has an additional two days where the learner can choose from three different tracks of expanded learning; Track I is for deeper details on establishing your programs for high-risk patients, infection control, document development and staff development or Track II is for establishing facility management and safety programs or Track III which will be centered on quality and patient safety.

You will begin by learning essential information on the JCI standards including the Patient Centered Standards, Health Care Organization Management Standards, and the Academic Medical Standards.

The consultants will assist you with understanding the importance of the JCI Survey Process Guide and discuss the various tools included in that publication.

How to build your teams for success! Identify strategies for implementation of complex patient safety processes.

Discuss how to incorporate evidenced based practice in daily, operational activities to improve patient outcomes.
